PTSC Mechanical & Construction Awards Te Giac Trang (TGT) Well Head Platform Contract to CI |

Vung Tau, Vietnam July 2010: Following the successful completion of the Su Tu Den wellhead platform, PTSC (M&C) has awarded the cables supply contract for TGT (white rhinoceros) H1 well head platform to Cables International.
The cables contract involves the fast-track supply of all cables from factory to job-site at PTSC (M&C) in Vung Tau within 8 weeks.
As part of the project scope, full project documentation is provided including regular progress reporting, project data book, factory inspection and independent test certification and cable test reports. Cables International produces all of the required documentation on all projects to ensure the highest quality of product and service is achieved at all times, to ensure that the client is fully informed at each step of the process and to maintain a full audit trail throughout.
The Te Giac Trang oil field is located offshore Vietnam, in the northern part of Block 16-1 in the Cuu Long Basin some 62 miles (100 kilometers) southeast of Vung Tau in waters measuring 148 feet (45 meters). Hoang Long JOC, a partnership compromising PetroVietnam, Soco International, PTTEP and OPECO, operates the field; Soco holds the remaining 50% interest.
Following the success of several drill stem tests performed and the reserve assessment report, the Vietnam Government confirmed the field as a commercial discovery. Furthermore, the Ministry of Industry and Trade approved the development plan for the field on September 21, 2009.
First oil from the field is targeted for mid-2011.

PPL Shipyard Awards Cables Supply and Management Contract to Cables International |

Singapore, July 2010 PPL Shipyard has awarded Cables International the cables supply and management contract for their latest P2030 Semcorp Marine jack up construction.
PPL Shipyard, a subsidiary of Sembcorp Marine, will build the jack-up based on the PPL Shipyard’s proprietary Baker Marine Pacific Class 375 (BMC Pacific 375) Deep Drilling design and proprietary components. The rig will be equipped to drill high pressure and high temperature wells at 30,000 feet whilst operating in 375 feet of water. It will have accommodation with full catering and amenities for 120 persons.
“This represents the latest award in a series of 9 jack-up rigs cables contracts awarded to Cables International by PPL Shipyard and is a clear reflection of the quality of product and the high degree of service provided throughout” commented Mr Alex Teo, business development manager, Cables International.

18 Jun 10, Cables International signed an agreement that involves Halcyon Energy Corporation acquiring 100% shareholding in Cables International Group. In-turn, the management shareholders of CI will acquire a shareholding in Halcyon Energy Corporation.
This agreement enables CI to join a large Oil & Gas group and provides CI with the opportunity for significant geographical and operational expansion.
With this investment, to be completed in September, Cables International will continue to be run and managed by all existing personnel and we look forward to being of continued service and support to you and all of our customers.

Cables International Completes Second Project for Vietnam’s Cuulong Joint Operating Company |

December 2009, Vietnam Following the successful completion of Vietnam’s Su Tu Vang (Golden Lion) project in 2008, Cables International has now completed all cables supply to the follow-on Su Tu Den (Black Lion) North-East project.
Su Tu Den north-east lies about six kilometers north-east of the existing Su Tu Den facilities, and the project includes the installation of a wellhead platform, several infield pipelines and a composite power/fiber optic submarine cable.
The new facilities will tie back to an existing infrastructure in the Su Tu Den and Su Tu Vang fields.
PTSC Mechanical & Construction Company awarded the job, with J Ray working on offshore facilities for the development, which is operated by the Cuu Long Joint Operating Company.
Amongst facilities to be installed will be a four-pile, 12-slot wellhead platform (WHP-B), 24-inch three-phase production pipeline from WHP-B to an existing PLEM near existing Wellhead Platform A (WHP-A), an extension to a 16-inch water injection pipeline from the Su Tu Vang Central Processing Platform (SV CPP) to WHP-B, an extension to the 10-inch gas lift pipeline from the SV CPP to WHP-B, including subsea tie-in spools for all pipelines at both ends. In addition a composite power/fiber optic submarine cable from WHP-A to WHP-B will also be installed.
