Singapore, Straits Times 29 May 2008: SMALL and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have performed strongly over the past year, according to a survey by DP Information Group.

Singapore, May 2008:  At the recent award ceremony at Singapore’s Fullerton Hotel, Cables International was recognized as Singapore’s leading SME.

Under the spotlight of full media coverage, Singapore’s most successful SME’s (Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises)  were identified at the SME Growth Excellence 2008.

Perth, Australia April 2008: Cables International will supply all cables required for fabrication of Eni’s Blacktip project production platform. The award of this contract represents a further milestone for Cables International in Australia securing the company’s position as a major cables supplier to both the Mining and Offshore sectors.

Eni has started the development of the Blacktip gas field, located in the Timor Sea approximately 110 km off the shore of Northern Australia in the Bonaparte Basin, at a water depth of some 50 meters. The Blacktip field is fully owned and operated by Eni and has recoverable reserves of 150 million boe.

Singapore, March 2008:  Cables International was delighted to be selected by Keppel Shipyard in Singapore to supply all cables for the world’s first LNG Floating Storage and Regassification Unit (FSRU).

Cables International worked closely on this fast-track project with Keppel Shipyard personnel supplying cables on a just in time basis ex-stock and manufactured tailor-made specific to project requirements.

Kuala Lumpur, March 17 – 19, 2008: Cables International Malaysia took centre stage at the Offshore Asia – 2008 conference and trade show. Based at the KL Convention Centre (KLCC) in the shadow of the Petronas Twin-Towers the show was held over 3 days.

The event achieved a record attendance at this third annual conference and exhibition dedicated to Asia’s offshore oil and gas industry with 5,000 participants from 57 countries.

Macau, March 2008: Cables International staff took a well-deserved break at the end of March to visit Macau and Zhuhai. The company sponsored the visit in recognition of the teams’ contribution to another record-breaking year’s performance.

During the 4 days visit our group tasted the sights and sounds of the vibrant and historic Macau, enjoyed the food, the sights and the nightlife. Shopping was also high on the agenda with a day-trip over the border to Zhuhai.
