Macau, March 2008: Cables International staff took a well-deserved break at the end of March to visit Macau and Zhuhai. The company sponsored the visit in recognition of the teams’ contribution to another record-breaking year’s performance.

During the 4 days visit our group tasted the sights and sounds of the vibrant and historic Macau, enjoyed the food, the sights and the nightlife. Shopping was also high on the agenda with a day-trip over the border to Zhuhai.

The team took some time off to visit the ECF Fellowship Orphanage in Macau.

The aim was to show some interest and to give a little back in a city where visitors are mainly focused in their own enjoyment.

The orphanage is largely maintained by donations and volunteers. Twenty four kids, aged from 5 to 18 are looked after in the very homely but cramped apartment building.

The orphanage staff kindly prepared drinks and snacks for us and we all took time with the kids and left gifts in recognition of the visit.

The best time was had with the kids and in knowing that we had made a little extra effort and shown interest.
