Qatar / Malaysia July 2008 Cables International Awarded Major Cables Management and Supply Contract for Maersk Oil Qatar.
Maersk Oil awarded Sime Darby Engineering the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) contract to build and install a process platform, a utility platform and three bridges off the coast of Qatar.
Following a competitive tendering and an intensive operational audit, Cables International was selected as the cables supplier best able to meet Sime Darby’s stringent financial and operational requirements.
All cables for this multi-million dollar award will be manufactured by JS Cables. Cables are being manufactured and delivered progressively over a six months period in close cooperation between the factory and Sime Darby Engineering.
